Best Earbuds, Headphones for Running and Exercise

I’ve killed more headphones over the years from sweat, wear and frustration for falling out than I care to admit.  I swear there’s a line item in the household budget for replacing earbuds.  In my question to find a good pair that fits, can handle the elements and will last, here’s a list that I hope will keep you hip-hopping and jingle-jogging all year long.

Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680
These sweat-proof, neckband ‘phones deliver outstanding, high-energy stereo sound without the need for readjustment or the trash can.  Best of all, they won’t break the bank at under $35.00.

The neckband vertical transducer system provides a comfortable, secure fit that won’t fall out during your workout. Further, the PMX 680 has a universal fit for any size or shaped head. This will ensure long-term comfort without sacrificing stability. A convenient volume adjuster keeps you in control of your tunes while a detachable extension cable lets you position your iPod or MP3 player where YOU want it.

The DuPont™ Kevlar® reinforced cabling guarantees durability and flexibility where other sport headphones can’t- even in cold temperatures. A sweat-proof, water-resistant construction lets you go your hardest during any off-season.

Yurbuds - IronMan Inspired!
The sport earphone that changed the game for top endurance athletes and fitness enthusiasts by allowing them to enjoy music while training. Combining the patented Twist-Lock Technology and a personalized fit, these sport earphones are guaranteed to never fall out, even during the most rigorous physical activity.  For just under $40.00 at Amazon.com, they’re my pick for the more traditional earbud.

The Yurbuds Enhancers are manufactured from medical grade silicon giving the Ironman Inspire an ultra-soft and comfortable fit, while allowing for sufficient ambient noise, so you always stay aware of your surroundings. The rugged, water-resistant and sweat proof design make these sport earphones ready for extremely active use and a must for any athlete.

Skullcandy Fix In-Ear
A little more expensive at $69.99, these headphones also have a mic if you happen to use this with an iPhone and need to have a conversation while on your loop. Engineered for a FIXed in-ear fit.  If you need your bass, these are the earphones for it.    I wouldn’t recommend for the heavy sweat, but if you need a little
