This Sunday June 23RD is #TitleIXDay! This is the 41st anniversary of Title IX, the federal civil rights law that prohibits federally funded educational institutions from discriminating against students or employees based on gender. We’ve created the infographic below to show the tremendous effect TitleIX has had on women in sports.
To celebrate 41 years of Title IX this Sunday, Bia is teaming up with the ladies at Activyst to fund an inner-city soccer program for girls in Oakland CA. Reserve a Bia Multisport GPS watch between now and June 23rd, and we’ll donate $20 to Soccer Without Borders. Reserve an Activyst sport bag through Sunday and they’ll double their typical donation.
Here are ways you can show your support for #TitleIXDay and Women In Sports:
- Post, tweet, and pin your experience as a woman in sports and what it’s taught you using the hashtag #TitleIXDay. Ex: Fill in the blanks “My first sport was _________ and it taught me __________.”
- Share the Infographic below by posting on your blog or website. We’ve included an embed code so it’s easy to copy and paste.
- Order a Bia Watch or Activyst Sports bag from now through Sunday June 23rd and we will double our donation to Soccer Without Borders to help fund their girls soccer program.
Thanks so much for supporting #TitleIXDay!
